We at food23 travelled to Lisboa, Portugal and talked to Jonas at the famous bakery Manteigeria. To watch Jonas prepare pastel de nata click here.

Here at Manteigeria, Jonas recounts how the tasty treat was first invented by monks in the 18th century selling the delicious pastry in front of the monastery to generate extra money.
